icma

Period: August 31st – September 4th 2015

The International Classical Music Auditions (ICMA) are exactly what they say they are; auditions during which international soloists can audition in front of a sizeable group of international music professionals (artistic directors/programmers of orchestras, halls, festivals, agents, A&R managers of record companies, representatives from various media e.g.).

There is no formal age limit for participating soloists but the committee which does the pre-selection will only let musicians through to the actual auditions who – in their opinion – have a good chance of (still) having a career as an international soloist.

ICMA 2015 will take place from Monday August 31st until Friday September 4th and the location is the magnificent Chamber Music Hall of the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. On Sunday August 30th in the evening there will be an opening reception and on Friday September 4th the event will be closed with a great party.
Next to the actual auditions there will be ample opportunity for networking. Apart from the opening and closing festivities some interesting outings will be organised in the evenings (some will be included in the arrangement, some not).

The auditions and information of all participants will end up on  www.icma.tv (also available for international music professionals who could not make it to Amsterdam).

What do you, as a participating soloist, get out of ICMA 2015?
